Default What is this vacuum/ electro thing? Picture attached

87 Renix. What is this thing? It has an electric connector and a hose to the passenger side of the throttle body. Also, where it attaches to the throttke body, there appears to be two (2) openings, but just one hose. See the photos.

Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) sensor. One hole on the TB is a blind hole. It helps to hold the vacuum line in place. Cruiser has a better method on his site.

Make sure you give that TB a good cleaning while you're in there.

Take the sensors off first, so you don't kill the throttle position sensor.

Thanks, they are in a baggie as we speak. This TB is black with soot. Is that normal?
