What would you do?
Ok fellas i bought a 95 Jeep XJ for $375 on eBay in need of quite a bit of work. The guy bought it for $1250 4 years before with the intention of doing a bit of work on it to get it back on the road. However, it ended up just sitting in that one spot for 4 years - the only repairs he did were he had the cooling system replaced - water pump radiator etc.
I took a gamble, bought it without viewing it and had it delivered on the back of a wagon to my door. She's now sitting on my drive, awaiting repairs. As it turns out, she's been really well looked after over the years by the one owner before the guy i bought it off - looks like whenever he had a problem he took it straight to the dealer as well as having regular services there over the 123k miles he drove it. He had an LPG kit installed at around 20k miles and the engine oil, having not been changed as far as i can see since 110k, looks like the day it went in.
So my question is, as i can't put her on the road till August due to insurance issues, apart from the obvious repairs it needs (brake strip down, 2 new fuel tanks, power steering lines repair etc) what would you do as preventative maintenance? I will have around $1400 to spend on her - a little each month, so what would you do if you had the time like me with the car off the road??
The fuel tanks - 1 lpg and 1 petrol will cost a fair bit. I'm planning on having the power steering lines repaired at a hydraulics shop rather than replaced. I'm thinking of new engine mounts? She has some oil leaks and I see this is a common problem with them so probably replace a bunch of seals. The dipstick seems to be the main leak - where it attaches to the block ...
So what would you fit to prolong her life hopefully another 123k!??

I bought an 85 that had been sitting for seven years a while back and of course as you said, seals and a new fuel tank because the original was rusted out. I also had to replace the front wheel bearings and u-joints. Just sitting for so long I think does bad things to these it seems.
