So I marked all the wires before I took of the existing dist cap off. Either I got the numbers marked wrong or something but my wires didn't match the manual which didn't match Jones pictures. It took a few tries (there were 2 #1 style wires in the Denzo kit). Motor doesn't like when the wires are f'd up. After setting up "Jones" style and checking it like.....4 or 5 times, I got things to work. So far no cough and misfires like I had before. The rotor and dist cap were pretty scorched.

As you can tell, the plugs were in no better shape.

Holly gapness plugman. Even just in your pic I can see those are way over .035. The gap gets bigger every mile. Longer starts and rough idle are the first signs they need to be re gaped. Mine need it. If I don't break anything I'll just gap them a second time now.

hehe, just never ask me the mnemic I use to remember resistor color codes.

Even 40yrs ago, when I advised my instructor this easy way, he blushed
