Do you really think my gas milage is getting that much worse because of the bigger tires? not exactly. i go further per axle rotation via larger tire. so my od/speedo read 50mph when i am actually going 60mph.

My point was that people are listing off mpgs and actually have no idea unless they have an od on there gps, or drive real far and use mile markers
Your factory tire size is 27.7", so with 31" tires, your speedo/odo is off by 11.9%, with 33", it's off by 19.13%.
So, if you get 210 mi on 31s, you get 1/8 less, or, 12.5% (close enough, add a little loss for heavier tires), but on 33s, you say, you get 170 mi, which is 70 mi less, or, 29.16% - which is 10% more than the speedo/odo error. From that, I'd say, 31s are not too hard on mpg, but 33s definitely are.

don't be. i have 4.5" lift and 31s and i'm moving up to 24mpg. but i drive like a deadman. i wait for the wind to pull me forward.
after this weekend, here's my list of aftermarkets. new headers, cut out the indentation on the factory downpipe by the flange, "INSTALLED" a "HIGH FLOW" cat (if you know what i mean), flowmaster 40, K&N air filter, new champion copper plugs, intake manifold and head ports cleaned spotless, cleaned the injectors spotless, Hypertech Max Energy, i think that's it. oh, and this week i'm gonna get a bored out TB, 4-hole injectors, and next week i'm gonna get a new fuel filter, and a plug wire-cap-rotor combo. that was a handfull huh?

Good boy. I figure 7% loss for every inch the tire gets wider. it works for most applications.

I got a 4.10 front waiting to go in but havent got my 8.8 ready yet. Hopefully i will get a little better with 4.10s but doubt to much.

Im actually getting an average of 185m per tank now with my 33s. Took the mech fan off and put an electric on. Took the constant rotating mass off. when the electric fan runs there is more drag on the alt but if i stay over 20mph it almost never kicks on.

Highley recomended mod (need beefy alt also)

Ok, so 185 mi is 55 less than factory, which is 22.91%. That's only about 3.8% over the speedo/odo error. Not bad. I am considering the electric fan, too, since people tell me it's at least 5% power-parasitic. On a side note, does the elec. fan come with a sensor that kicks in at the appropriate temp?

i love it but havent tested it in any weather over 60. You living in az done know how much of a differnce in mpgs it will give you (it gets hot there). but inmost cases in increase cooling and you can feel a little power difference. Just remember the higher the amp draw from fan the more the alt will drag.

I originally was tring to go taurus e-fan but had way way to big of amp draw for my liking
