Default wheel well question for 01 xj

I just took off my flare and in the front i cut out the inner wheel well...I see it leaves a huge pocket in the fender for a bunch of debris to collect...whats my best bet for fixing this ....any suggestions or pics of you did to remidy that issue! Thanks

I have the same problem and I was thinking about cutting some sheet metal to fit, with a little extra around the edges to bend back, then paint it and silicone it in place. Haven't done it yet though, interested in hearing what others have done.
