Hey all - I'm talking about the bulb socket in the upper-righthand corner of the heat/air panel on my 95. Before I'd put it in and give it a quarter-turn and it would lock in, but It's got little tabs that have somehow broken off so it won't stay in. I tried to superglue it just to see if it would hold, and it won't. I also cut the wires off right at the socket so I had enough wire to work with on the new one, so that explains why this one looks so shady:



I'm coming up empty at parts stores as well as online. I can always look in the junkyards but they might be broken too - any idea where I can order one or what a part number might be?

Man, what a great resource - thank you ijeep!!

So I'm looking all through it - I found the actual heat/air panel on 24-310, but no mention of the bulb socket there. On 8-1410, it looks like that may be where it is, but it's just considered part of the main wiring harness which I do NOT intend to replace for this I wonder if any aftermarket sockets will work?? It's just how it actually fits in and turns 1/4 turn that's the trick with this one.

ijeep, please don't put yourself out looking for a socket - I can run by some yards this week and try to dig one out! I wouldn't mind just ordering one to save me some time but I also want to get my DASH BACK TOGETHER AGAIN....it's always something, isn't it.

OK, well after a ton more research, I finally dug up that someone else had ordered these bases:

Said they needed a little trimming to fit, but I'm happy to do that. Order two to be safe!
