Without being able to hear it I'd say its probably the fuel pump. If you turn the key to "on" (don't start it) you should hear the whining noise. It will come on and then stop. Once you start the car, it should start again.

And that I normal correct? I read another post about a fuel pump whining is normal. Some just whine
