Whistle coming from exhaust
Yesterday coming home from work I heard a whistling sound when I accelerated. Today it's worse. I only hear it at high rpms. Does anybody know what is causing this.

Its called "Spontanious Turbo Interformation" otherwise know as "STI". Much more common on foreign made cars tho.
Either that or you've got an exhaust leak maybe... Crank your jeep and rev it with the hood popped from the throttle body, make sure it just doesnt sound like its coming from the exhaust.

hissing/"whistling" is usually a sign of a restriction, which is what would cause a whistle. if there isnt a break or a pinched exhaust pipe somewhere, my guess is that the catalyst has melted. Did your jeep ever have a misfire for an extended period of time?
