I had a 95 Chevy 1/2 ton 4.3L standard stage 1 performance chip. One day it wouldnt get over 2000 rpms and that was the prob. Any other day I could roll smoke off of 31 1050s is 3rd. Man I miss that truck but I wouldn't trade my xj for it now. But the whistle threw me for a loop. I couldn't imagine what was causing it.

Well now my exhaust is being odd...

I just got it back from the mechanic. He was replacing bearings in the front diff and when I got it back the exhaust sounds....different. I have a flowmaster 40 right where the stock muffler was...then the stock tail pipe put on. It HAD a nice chug at idle and a throaty chug with minimal hum in drive. Now it has the chug at idle but the hum seems to be much much much more prominent in drive. Borderline rice burner hum. The muffler is maybe two weeks old. anything the mech could have done? Pinched a pipe or something?. The system looks the same as usual though.
