who replaced their 2001 fuel pump
I fear my fuel pump is going out. I took it to a shop the other day and they could not find anything wrong with it. No codes or misfires. Everything seemed fine. But when I start up cold it takes a minute after warming up get going otherwise it stumbles. Once it warms up it seems fine. I am at a loss but I was wondering if this could be a fuel pump issue. I ran some lucas throught the tank to see if that might clear it up but it just seems to get worse. When I turn the key I can hear the pump kick on and it fires up very easily the first time though so I just cant figure this out. Any ideas or help please.

Yea I was thinking the TPS as well. The mechanic said the tps was registering low but he said he was able to adjust it. I thought these were not adjustable though.

Well in an effort to support the forum search function better I just want to follow up with my results. It turns out that my TPS was bad. I purchased a cheap generic one about 3 months ago and it went bad. When you compare them side by side you could see the spindle inside the TPS that turns with the throttle plate was just about 2 or 3 millimeters different from the new one. In fact when I took the screws off it didnt even turn from resistance. When I put the new TPS on you could fee the resistance and I had to hold it in place while I put in the new screws. I hate when people resolve their issues and dont post it in the thread they started.

I bought the cheap ones from Ebay and I purchased the replacements from Autozone. The duralast products arent real expensive but they do a great job.

Thanks for keeping us updated. I also hate when people don't update their post when they resolve their issues. Glad you are back up and running good.
