If it is the RMS... How much oil are you losing? Less than a quarter sized stain in the am, Start planning the repair 4-8 hours, no hurry yet. A little wetness on the underside of the Jeep is just the automatic lube system in action.
I'm only losing a few drops that collect on the underside of the oil pan and the transmission pan, no oil actually hits the ground,
and yes I may commit suicide if I did the RMS and it still leaked.

I will check the oil filter adapter as it has a LOT of sludge buildup on it, just changed the oil and used high mileage Valvoline with the seal conditioners but I'm sure that's just marketing hype.

if you do the RMS be sure the oil pan gasket is seated correctly in the main bearing cap. if not...

I just finished doing the RMS two days in a row. and it's not because I had so much fun doing it the first time.

I bet you were faster the second time around, though.

it's amazing how much time you can save if you do a practice run first.

I had the same problem and thought it was my rear main seal. After a few minutes while the Jeep was running, I looked around and spotted oil was running on top of the starter and down on where the rear main seal will be. It was from my oil filter adapter seals. They usually wear out every 100k miles on it. Replaced that and no more oil leaks. It has 3 seals, advance and auto zone only carry one main seal. You need all 3.
