Why? tailgate question
Why do I have to hold the hatch down to get the tail gate to release on 99 XJ? What parts are worn that need to be replaced?

If you have to "push" in on the tailgate and pull the latch at the same time, there is a relatively easy fix.
If that is the problem, there are videos of how to fix it.
The link does not work now, just do a google search of "how to repair a 99 jeep xj tailgate latch" and you will get a list of video's and tips on the job.

Video works, but you have to have to remove the "_channel=BleepinJeep" at the end of the link for the video to post.

I tell yall where the milk is and find out you don't know how to open the fridge? 
I added the google search info to the post that turned up the video to make it easier. I have done this or a variation of this fix to my 99XJ. Easier then fighting the hatch open.
