Hi There
I was wondering if you can add a winch(10000lb) to stock bumper of cherokee and will it be tuff enough to do the job?(Is there any special bracket for cherokee out there?!!

Thanks for any help...

No you cant and 1,000 lbs is nowhere near enough to pull your rig. 8,000 or higher is what I reccomend. You'll need an aftermarket bumper for a winch.

The stock front or rear bumpers are not strong enough for a winch. Can you mount a winch to it, yes. Will it fold in half the first time you try to pull your Jeep out with it, YES.

IN NO WAY IN HE** can you put a wench on a stock bumper... You can.. but draging a wench & bumper out of mud by hand sucks... o and you still got a jeep stuck... now with no bumper... You cant do it... and have it work...

If you want to maintain the stock bumper and still run a winch this is what you need..
