Window Motor or Regulator?
My front driver window is very slow and I have to hit the door panel or shake the window to get it to go up and down. Want to fix before the ice seals it shut for the winter. Do I need just a motor or the regulator with motor assembly. Theres a pretty good prices difference. No junkyards here in Wyoming so I'm look at $80 to $150 from napa. Thanks.

Try greasing the tracks and any other moving part. Sometimes it will take care of the problem. Not always but sometimes it will. If it still drags real bad you may end up having to change out the motor.
Good Luck.

First spray WD-40 or some lubricant down the window channels at the front and rear of the door. If this does not help the motor and regulator aren't too bad. Not fun but not too bad. My 97 has this CRAPPY plastic hose regulator design. Can you tell I've now done this ~ 4 times with Jeep I've had for like 2 months. In my research it looked like there is now a "new design" which isn't the plastic hose design. Check out rockauto.com I ALSO found that there was a difference in the gear sized used between my 97' and a couple of 98' I bought regulators off of at the PullAPart near me. Fun trip back just for that. I guess the short answer is...if you can afford it and don't mind the extra $$ order both.
