Window problems.
Alright so When I bought my jeep the previous owner had made me aware that both front and rear passenger side windows didn't work. I knew this was a common problem with these jeeps so I searched the forum and found this https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/bad...-64586/index2/ thread.
I went to try this out only to see that he'd already done this.
Not the way I would have done this but hey what ever. Regardless though it didn't work. So that lead me to checking fuses. Now when I pulled the fuse panel off there wasn't a map just some writing that said refer to owners manual for fuse guide. I refer to owners manual which tells me to refer to the fuse panel. LOL A lot of help that was.
Now when I had the fuse panel off I noticed 3 fuses missing from the brick as you'll see below.
Which in this order from top to bottom and left to right would be 8 top left,13 bottom left, and 24 on the right 4 from the very bottom.
Now I'll be honest I haven't a clue what these are to but before I go further is there any one who can tell me what they are to and or give me a map to this fuse block that would help me trouble shoot this problem.
Now on a side note I did notice that none of the passenger window switches work. The drivers switch is the only one that can control the windows. The only windows that work are the driver side front and rear. Could this be related to the missing fuses? If not what would be causing this problem?

It could just be bad switches on the passenger side causing them not to work. Did you check for power at the switches? Will the window go up and down if you hook a battery up to it?

almost guarantee it's the master switch block, it feeds the power to all the other switches so when it's screwed up none of the downstream switches will work. Try pushing side to side on the problem switches while you try to roll it up and down sometimes that will get it to work or at least move a little. Unhook the master switch block connections and put them back on to see if it's just a bad connection. I just spent a ton of time trouble shooting this exact same problem (it was intermittent), replaced motors and all kind of stuff and it ended up being the master switch block. Bought one off ebay works like a champ.

The previous owner gave me an extra master switch he said he bought used and had installed but it didn't work. Maybe I've got two bad master switches? I have yet to check the other switches for power. I had just started with the fuses and thought I'd work form there. Thats how I noticed 3 missing fuses as well.

Alright while watching tv last night I saw the local pick n pull was having a 50% off sale today. I went down and bough the only master switch they had left. I'm gonna give this a try and see if I get lucky other wise its time to pull out the test light.
Also how you you test a switch to see if its bad?
