If I could see what I'm working with then I can do it. But when you say steering column and use other mechanical terminology I just don't understand it. But if I can see it, I can do it. Thanks again!

If you look under the dash from the driver's side footwell you should be able to see the ignition switch freegdr is referring to. It might be easier if you purchase a new one first so you know exactly what you're looking for.
I found this how-to on e-how. It's not great (no pictures) but it's a decent written step-by-step for a '94 XJ. It sounds like you might need a Torx™ wrench to remove the switch from the column so if you don't have one, I'd recommend picking up a small set (probably under $10). They'll probably have them at the auto parts store.

Hey, I had quite a day today and I had to go to pull a part to get a coolant overflow tank and driver seatbelt. What a chore. Please stay with me if you can. And yes I was pushing the push that's why I'm just getting home! So of course my muscles are sore. That bus was heavy! Nonetheless, I did purchase the ignition switch, got the horn cover (that's what I call it--obscenely loud when removing it) over the steering column had my tools ready but there is this huge nut bolt that I had no idea how to remove. Is that the torx wrench?

Ok, well it doesn't look like that. But the seatbelt nut does, so that's what a torx is for, eh...thanks. So I guess I just need a wrench with an extension to fit between the groves, correct?
