Default Which wire is the 12volt wire?

hello, i recently install an after market stereo. and it turns on fine, but everytime i shut it off it loses memory. it wont remember the time or the stations i put in. i took it took the shop and they also re wired it just incase i didnt do it right. so im guessing its a wire or i burnt out the memory in the system. but can someone tell me which wire should be connected so it has the constant power..

Back on topic.. We need a little more information please...

What year?
Has factory harness been cut? (bad idea, pigtail is 10 bucks, don't be cheep)
How was it wired?
- Are yellow and red wires from head unit connected together or not?
- have you checked all fuses on yellow (typical memory wire, needs 12v at all times)

Thank you... you beat me to it, I was digging out the other FSM..

IMHO, it would be a good idea to chop a JY harness and do it the correct way.

Check your fuses, connections, wiring.
