Ok So im getting ready to swap out the tranny on my 87 Renix Cherokee. I found a donor AW4, while removing the Neutral Safety Switch to clean up before the install I noticed the wiring was pretty bad so im goint to just replace the NSS. While inspecting the wiring harness that came with the donor I noticed the wiring is in pretty bad shape and has several splices in it. I may end up using the wiring currently installed on the Jeep. Was wondering if the harness is available to purchase, If so where and is there a part # available? Didnt find anything on Rock auto or other websites. Id like to replace if possible if not ill reuse what i have.
any info is greatly appreciated

What year is the donor trans? 87-90 had a different output spline count. See https://naxja.org/threads/everything...e-aw4.1053970/

the transmission that came with the jeep when we purchased only works in reverse. Tried troubleshooting and havent been able to fix it. Found a donor from an 88 that um gonna swap over. The donor has the hacked up wiring not the one installed currently. If I cant find a replacement harness then ill rpurpose what I currently have. Dont want to use the spliced harness on the donor

the issue is the donor's wiring is in really bad shape. I havent checked the condition of the wiring currently on the Jeep but i may reuse if I cant find a replacement

Sorry, I should've gone back to the beginning, instead of relying on my memory. However, unless you reason to believe there's an issue with your original, why even think about replacing it?
