wiring woes
I have a 95 Cherokee Chief limited that needs a few moments of TLC.
I recently purchased it, and found out that the battery goes dead, so I started looking.
I've found there are wiring issues in the driver door area, and would like to know if anyone has a wiring schematic for this model.
I would really like a complete schematic, as I'm always tinkering with something on it, and would like it for future references.
Does anyone know how to disable the switch, on the door lock driver side, that must arm the security in the vihicle. The little rotary switch has fallen off the lock, and now the lights flash etc. I've tried turning it one way and the other and the security alert keeps going. I've unplugged a square relay switch or something, located under the dash, just left of all the other relays. Now it wont flash and stuff.
I'd kind of like to disable it, but not sure if it would screw things up.
Now since I've done that, the thing starts up and dies. I checked the fuel pressure on the fuel rail, and there is no pressure there until I crank it. Once I let off, fuel pressure disappears. Would it be a fuel pump relay or something? When I turn the key on, I can hear the pump pressure up, but it seems once it starts, the pump stops. I've tried holding the key to the start position, and it still kills.
Any help will be appreciated.
