Just checked and Rusty's Off Road has a steering upgrade for $299 and shipping.

Not sure I need it as I am basically stock.......well do have a up country lift........sort of!
The complete overhaul of factory steering using Moog parts is app. $153.

Sometimes here, you feel like you are talking to yourself....
Anyway, I ordered up my steering components and went with a ZJ upgrade. Same basic setup just stronger components. Only cost about $25 more.
From the shipping estimates it will be the middle of June before I get to install them.

I used the ZJ parts on my MJ after I bent the tie-rod. The ZJ parts use the same size rod ends, but the tie rod is solid versus hollow. I don't recall if the drag link was any thicker.

Finished installing the ZJ parts in my front end yesterday. Replaced the drag link, the tie rod and the tie rod ends. The parts I replaced included one bad ball joint and 2 heading that way. I also found that my steering stabilizer is dead and have one ordered to replace it.
Got the second hub/bearing assembly in yesterday and replaced both of those. One was bad (you could feel the roughness turning it by hand) and the other appeared good. So after a test drive, the steering is tighter and the "war, wor, war" sound is gone. Should be good
for a few more miles!
Kind of half way thinking of selling my Z71 Colorado as I just don't drive it......I like driving the XJ more!
