Ah the ever elusive punctuation mark known as a period. Generally it's used at the end of a sentence to indicate that a thought has been completed. Can also be used to shorten certain words such as, street or saint shortened to St., mister to Mr., and etcetera to etc.

a statement of time, a certain amount of time..also could be classified to a cycle.. but it could be a short code Morse code.. if he follows up with a comma...we are all in the crapper...

I see it now. It's not actually he whom is puzzled, the tittle is in reference to any responders, as WE are the ones puzzled. Every once in a he gives just a tid bit of nonsensical information which just puzzles us more. It's cleaver really.
