Default Wristed radius arms for Dana 44 front axles

I have a D44 front axle in my XJ from a 78 Bronco. It has the cast "C's" and therefore I am running the stock ( but lengthened) Ford radius arms. Do you know anyone that has "wristed" one of the arms to eliminate the inherent torsion bar effect of the Ford design? I have read a lot about this in some old Bronco forums but have not found anyone who has any experience with this mod to talk to. It sounds simple enough to build, but would sure like to talk to someone who has actually wheeled with this mod. My concern is relying on the other side C to keep the whole axle from rotating under stress.
