I had posted an explaination but I guess I should have read to the end. The Ubolt thing was my first guess. seen it MANY times.
If someone doesn't believe how a loose rear end could make a vehicle steer then they should talk to some drag racing guys.

weird this topic came up, I recently noticed I had the same thing going on...after installing my 31's, I say check everything that was stated (i havnt had time to yet so if you find something post it up, I'm betting ubolts though), and to put it to a fair explanation for arguments sake lol, it's like a torque steer feeling in a fwd car (for those of you familiar with that) but from the rear, and I'm betting the correct diagnosis would be considered "excessive axle wrap" due to worn/loose rear axle components.

I had a very similar problem also after i built my s10 bastard packs. When i first built them i didnt have spring clips around them which caused axle wrap. the leaves were fanning apart on accelaration. My first guess was leaf spring bushings, but they didnt make a difference. finally i got myself some leaf spring clamps (not clips, clamps). they clamped all the leaves together so they didnt fan out. made them more like one solid spring. this made a huge difference in the torque steer.
ps. my jeep is 5 speed with an aussie locker which also contributed to the problem
good luck
