Ok so I got it to work with the washers and torqued it down according to my Chilton. Thought I was going to break a bolt lol.
On these two, they are torqued to 27 ft lbs... One side's washer seems to have cut into the bushing. Hopefully it won't cause an issue.

Looks good! I was thinking of doing the same, along with a lot of the other bushings and suspension parts. Trying to locate some "bump" noises from the front end and just clean things up a bit. XJ is a 99 with 99K miles...a slow project.

I haven't driven it yet lol. Getting an alignment on Tuesday finally. Then it goes back to being my wife's daily driver. I'll let you know how it effected driving.

Forgot to come back to this one. It drives way better now. There used to be a clunk in the front end on certain turns/bumps. That's gone now. Not even a hint of bump steer. Corners like a sports car too! Well, not exactly... But still...
