Just tell her you got it for the improved ride quality, for her comfort, they just happened to be lift springs, lol. With only 53K on it I guess you can't use the "My old springs were 14 years old and riding on the bumpstops!" excuse that I used...

this is my plans for the jeep as of right now:
2" OME lift
31" tires (maybe REtreads)XJ/MJ Backbone Bumper System from Detours USA
Roof-rack
~4 lights on front
~2-3 lights on rear
CAI
62mm TB
Header
Stainless Steel Exhaust
Over head console
~w/ hidden switches for lights
~hidden cb
Try and grab some axles from a 4cyl
~if not just regear
Want to add cruise control with this being a DD
grand cherokee alternator
There are a few more things i want to do to the jeep but cant remember off hand. My goal is to keep the stock appearance but give it a lil more off road capable. i am have not decide on some of the brands i want to get for the parts but i kno what i want to add/replace in my jeep

looks like you have some sagging in the rear but the new lift will aleviate that. other than that she looks cherry. I am in the process of gathering all the parts for my BB and this is how i told the wife i needed it. I had explained to her that the tires were unsafe. what helped me in this is the dry rotting around the lettering. so she told me to get new tires. i went to pepboys and had them install the difinity dakota M/T 31x10.5. now it rubs a little when going over bumps at speed. so i told her that i can stop it by adding leafs to the back and new springs upfront. i gave her a choise. either i can lift it or "chop the hell out of the fenders to make room.". so she told me to lift it. so now i have leafs out of a 98 xj and ordered today new coils from a 98 zj v8. all together i has cost me $220 and $30 for a new angle grinder from harbour freight that " i needed to chop the eyes off of the old springs". this is how i got her to bless the lift. maybe it will work for you.
