Who has had to deal with a rear lower shock mount breaking? What did you do to fix it?
I'm thinking just cut off what's left of the stud, grind it flat, drill a hole through the mount and use a bolt.
Sound good? Or should I weld the bolt to the mount?

Sounds right to me.
Man, so much trouble so far for these lightly used stock shocks from a parts jeep. At least I won't deal with this stuff when I lift it. Although the other stud might decide to break...

'95 Jeep Cherokee Sport Tech question
I am working on a 95 Cherokee Sport, I had the battery disconnected and was welding on the vehicle. Once I was done I reconnected the batttery only to find that the Jeep would not start (or even turn over) and fuse 19 - 5 Amp (Tan)
Instrument Panel Lamps, Radio Illumination has no power. Any ideas on how to fix this??

What went there?
'99 XJ Sport.
So I've got this square hole (approx. 4" x 4") on the passenger side of the engine compartment just above the wheelwell right next to the battery. It basically a looks into the inside of the fender.
Will someone tell me what's supposed be mounted there?

Quick question here. Tried to search it but got too many results that had nothing to do with it.
Will 12.5 inch tires fit on the stock aluminium 5 spoke wheel?
Pretty sure they will but want to make sure.
Putting on a 5" lift and I still like the 5 spokes.
Plus I really want to spend any money I'd spend on wheels on something else.

Uhh that's getting a little excessive. I believe the stock wheels are 7 or 7.5 inches wide. A good rule of thumb is a tire 4 inches bigger then the wheel. It will definitely work but depending on how hard you wheel, if you air down, and how you daily drive will affect if it even keeps the bead

Crap looks like new wheels. Don't want to take chance of blowing a bead.

Yeah it's not worth it honestly. If you can get a 32x11.50 although that would look weird with a 5 inch lift. Look on Craigslist for cheapie rims or just get some crager soft 8s and blend in with the crowd.

Ok so heres a long question!
Short story:
4WD is not working properly, the rear differential is working but not the front. (I put the front wheels on a rail road tie while the rear were on soft dirt and the rears spun in 4WD low and I did not climb the tie). And yes I have the NP242 transfer case, but I had to switch the front to a CAD type Dana 30, but I have the Posi Lok 4X4 in it and it is engaged. The strange thing is, when the t-case is in Full time, there is a strange grinding and the vehicle doesn't move...
Long story:
Ok so the long story goes along with the short one, but adds a bit. So, the vehicle was in an accident, passenger side got hit hard on the wheel and bent the axle. That was the reason for the CAD switch, also, the CAD was 4.11's so I jumped on it. Anyways, now that that was all done, the lift and 33's went on with the posi lok. We wheeled with it once and I could have swearn that the front was engaged, but it might not have been, but now it definitely is not engaging. So heres how it goes: 2WD high : Rear drive shaft spins and vehicle drives, 4WD High Part Time : Front and Rear Drive shaft spin and vehicle moves, 4WD High Full Time : Only Front Drive shaft spins and vehicle doesn't move and there is a kind of a grinding noise, 4WD Low Part Time : Both drive shafts spin, vehicle moves, but front is not engaging at all. Now I also noticed that when the posi lok is engaged, the passenger wheel will spin without the drive shaft or other wheel moving, but when the driver side wheel is spun, the drive shaft turns, but not the passenger tire. So, what could it be, need a new t-case? Or a new axle parts, or both? If it is axle parts please be specific. This is a DD and I need to fix it quick. Oh, and when I looked in the disconnect cover, I found a couple of metal parts, needle bearings and a little of what I am assuming was the end of the bearing they came out of, so I know that I need to replace a bearing in there but I don't think this could be causing the problem. Thanks in advanced (Dukie......) Ben and Kay!
