Don't you wish everyone labelled their diagrams like that?

When doing the air filter, is it better to release this intake hose at the box lid, or at the throttle body?

You have to listen closely.
After I turn off my XJ, I hear a gurgling sound coming from the fuel tank for a minute (maybe more?).
Is this the fuel pump? Is this normal?

Does it sound like gas sloshing around? I have that too probably normal or maybe something got knocked loose. Also it's only when I have half a tank or more.

Couldn't really hear much from the videos

No clue how to replace the rear windshield wiper. There is no tab to press like the front wipers.
It might even be rusted solid. I think it's original, just like most everything else on this XJ.
Here are 4 pictures, in various degrees of turning. (0, 45, 90, 175)
The last one is almost fully inverted 175 degrees.

EDIT: NVM, i remembered it's a hook type, not a pin. I got nothing then

Just joined the forum. I have a 2000 Cherokee Sport with I6 motor and had a shop pull the head (0331, I think) to replace the back freeze plug which was spewing coolant. I had them replace all 4 freeze plugs at side of block since the head and manifolds were off. One week later, while merging onto the freeway, a loud pop and a lot of steam in rear view mirror took place. One of the side freeze plugs blew out. Now the plug at back of head blew out. Took to a different shop. With 160,000 miles should I have them change lifters too, since the head is off?

I'm aware of the 2000-2001 0331 head cracking issue (thanks to this site). However, I only lose coolant if AC is on and it's a really hot day running above 215F in city. No apparent coolant in oil. I've looked very closely. I think the coolant lose it due to "boiling over" due to overheating conditions. Does this make sense to you experts? I want to put one gallon of distilled water with double dose of Water Wetter added to 50/50 coolant to reduce idling temps. What's your take on this? Pros and cons welcome....

You park on a hill or slight incline? If the hood is up higher than the rear, you could be leaking from the windshield gasket along the top or in the corners and the water is running back.

Mine is rusted in the corners and leaks bad. I am going to pull the windshield and look at how bad the rust is. I have not started to research how the fix will go yet. I know my gasket/weather strip holding the glass in place is drawn up in the corners. I am hoping simply replacing the old gasket/weather strip stops mine. By that I mean having a glass company come out and put it back in.

I recently bought a 2000 Cherokee Sport 4.0L I6 from a friend who had it since almost new. The jeep cleaned up to look like new inside and out. All the mechanics ask me what year it is because it looks like new. Unfortunately, he did not maintain it mechanically. I have breathed new life into it with many $...
Solid machine, and really like the go anywhere feeling. With 160,000K and good oil pressure, I think it will go many more miles. I just want it to be perfect and reliable. That's why I joined this forum, along with reading the treads for the last three months. I get a kick out of reading some of the responses, and figured it was time to put my two cents in. Thanks.

100% Noob to any forum. But I cant figure this out on my own. I have a 1990 XJ that has been stalling me when I come to a complete stop for the past week or so. Usually I would wait about 5 minutes or so and it would start back up without any problems. 3 days ago it stalled on me, like usual, but never started back up. It cranks and cranks but never fires. I've replaced plugs, wires, distributor, distributor cap, rotor, coil, igniter, and today I replaced the crank position sensor. I still can't get it to start. I cant get any spark.
Please please please someone help me.

I would said crank position sensor, but you already replaced that. It also does sound like the throttle position sensor. My brother had a similar problem.

ok I asked if a 95 tranny would work in my 98 and I got a good answer from rookie but now my ? is do I go off of my build date or title date and the reason I ask is my build date is 97 but title says 98
