ok i like a challenge. Had to dig deep for this one.

Looks like as you said the #1 injector is the command or "sensor injector", so it has the wire coming out of it. I don't believe you can disconnect this wire from the injector itself so the whole injector needs to come out. It appears there IS a special socket to remove the #1 injector, but looking at the images it doesn't appear that it's absolutely necessary to get the job done. It looks like you could get an adjustable wrench on the injector to unscrew it.

In case you DO want the special tool, the manual says it's "special socket tool VM.1012A", which has a hole to pass the sensor wire though.

I can use a hold down kit, it will be long enough, but just a little skinny for my likings. I'm working on getting the tank down now, but I can't for the life of me get the electrical connection off for the fuel sender, I feel like i'll snap it. And then I have to figure out how I can get the filler necks off easily...

Alright, got the fuel filter out (replacing it) and all the connections off the tank. Except for the inlet hoses... Not only are they probably seized on (been soaking them in PB) but they are in odd places for me to get too. Any tips? The tank won't drop low enough for me to get a good angle.

New here but have been following and reading a lot. Question: I have a 2000 Cherokee with 4.0 and the dreaded 0331 head. A shop pulled it off and I inspected it before going back on, and yes it is cracked between #3 & 4# cylinders. New head time... I called Alabama Cylinder Heads today and they have changed ownership and won't have 0331 heads in stock for 4 to 5 weeks. There seems to be two different references for Clearwater. I call Rams Cylinder Heads today and spoke with the owner (a A+ business rating). They have a new 0331 cast which is cast in China, complete for $595.00 plus $55 shipping and a 30 day core return. Anyone used this company for the 0331 head, and what was your experience? I need to order tomorrow. Your input is the value of this network. Thanks...

BTW, the owner said all the heads are cast in China now. 5 year warranty with the head.

ok im kinda new to some of the tech stuff, this is my second xj!i just got a 95 last week with a bad pinion bearing, went to a friend of mines junk yard to day and locked up the rearend when i was looking at new parts! he has a 98 or newer xj with a 8.25 rear and a 30 front i want to switch into mine because the gears are different and dont want to pay the 500 plus to do the bearing and what not.i know the 8.25 will go in fine but is there any differences in the 95 to 98 newer dana 30s, or will it go in?
