If my 98 has been sitting for more then a few hours it will crank for about 2-3 seconds then start. Now if I turn the ignition on and leave it for about 5 seconds then start it, it will fire up immediately. This makes me believe it's the fuel regulator not keeping pressure in the fuel lines. I know It's part of the fuel pump so that all has to be replaced. I also believe it could be CPS. Which do you think?

Trying to figure out a squeak on the 98'. Installed an AAL in the Crown HD leafs about a month ago, starting just a few days ago Iv developed a nasty squeak coming from the driver side rear. At first I though it was the shock or its bushing but after crawling under and having someone rock the jeep back and forth I believe its coming from the leaf pack, the section betweem the axle and the front leaf bolt. When I took the leaf pack apart all it had between the leafs were pieces of sheet metal which I reused but was 1 short after adding the AAL. Also, I reused the leaf clamps however with the extra leaf I didnt have room to use the rubber isolator pads that were originally sitting under the ends of the leaf clamps that you hammer down. Should I take the leaf packs apart and put some rubber between them and also get aftermarket leaf spring clamps? Every bump I go over I hear the squak and even every time I come to a stop the jeep rocks forward and back slightly I hear the "Ueeeerrrrkkkk eeeeee." Any help appreciated

Regarding my last post I think I just need some friction pads for the add a leaf. Is there any negative effects of coating each leaf with bedliner?

Hey there, I've got a '99 Grand Cherokee Limited with the 4.7 and 140k miles that had a big electrical issue come up today. I've been looking on here for help and found a lot of posts on electrical issues but not quite what I'm dealing with. I understand this may be addressed somewhere already but I'm having trouble finding it if it is. Hopefully y'all will be able to point me in the right direction.
In short, the Jeep is in great condition and I've had no real issues with it until today. Then, while idling at a red light, everything died like suddenly. Nothing electric works at all, lights ignition locks etc. The battery is in good shape and the terminals are well-connected. I had a multi-meter and confirmed the battery is putting out 12.8 volts and the terminals are connected to the posts. Positive terminal to ground (frame) is also at 12.8. I understand there may be an in-line fuse in the positive cable somewhere, or that there may be a fuse failed in the PDC, though I looked at the list of them and I didn't think it would make sense that any of them could cause such a total electrical failure. I wiggled the connections from the positive terminal and still nothing anywhere.
So it still sits in a parking lot I pushed it into when it died. Tomorrow I'll either tow it home or to a shop, depending on what I can find on here for help. Thanks so much!
