Are 4.88s in a d30 a bad idea?

Found a guy on CL willing to trade a 4.88 R+P for a D30 and a 8.8 for some 33s.

The 8.8 gears are used is that a bad thing?

So I don't think he's gonna want my worm 33s. But he selling them for $175 (don't know what kind of tires he's expecting for $175 anyways) you think that's worth it? A new in box d30 4.88 set and a used Ford 8.8 4.88 set?

Mine was busted up pretty good. I managed to use JB Weld and get it back together. I filled in all of the gaps in the body part and then sanded them down until the contacts appeared. Works great now.

All you people with trouble shifting, look up how to adjust the TV cable before you start with expensive sensors. And don't drive up long inclines in OD, either. Your Jeep won't like you very much.

Can I replace my 15" steelies with 16" wheels that have the same 5x4.5 bolt pattern?
Or bad idea, and stick with 15"? 100% highway commuter stock XJ.

Bolt pattern and backspacing are the questions. And are the new tires the same size?

What is the point of throttle body cleaner?
The throttle body is a gigantic opening the size of a baseball.
It could never get clogged as there's tons of room for air to get sucked in.
Why does it matter if some soot is on the sides?
Or is the cleaner to make sure the linkage/flap does not get stuck from the soot?

I never use OEM jacks b/c they suck.
What is the deal with jacking up an XJ for a flat tire?
Can I use a compact floor jack that works on a typical Honda?
Or do I need an extra tall jack, since the stock XJ is higher off the ground?

Can I use a compact $25 floor jack like this?

That carbon takes away from your airflow. Without air, you have no power, and your motor wants every last bit it can get.

Bc there are small passages in the tb that are vital for sensors/idling. Which easily get clogged. And gunk built up in there can cause the butterfly valve to stick.

When your sitting at idle with the butterfly valve closed the air sacking through those passages determine your idle. The iac depends on them. A clogged iac won't idle correctly or at all. Too much air or a vacuum leak will cause too high of an idle. When the iac sees the motor is cold it will allow more airflow to warm the motor. That's why when you start your jeep in the morning and it's cold it will idle a bit higher. So if your tb is full of crap your looking at all kinds of possible issues. Take it off clean/paint reinstall. Like mine

Yea, but what, 1% of the diameter? You can stick your fist into the TB. You telling me chunks of carbon the size of strawberries are built up? Any buildup on the sides of the walls can not possibly be of any significance to air flow. Again, I cam stick an entire baseball in there.

I didn't say anything like that. What I'm saying is an increase in bore of a few millimeters will make a huge difference. Therefore, a buildup of carbon will invariably have some level of adverse impact. And, as he said, it blocks sensors.
