TJ copied the QuadraLink setup that was pioneered on the XJ. I'm hoping you know due to the wink, but other people may not realize it's the same.

Oh well yeah lol I do I was just saying its on a TJ but all that list is still the same... TJ rock in the back to with coils and a rear track bar and it flexes better than leaves on the XJ and the JK's control arms even longer

While replacing my center console, I pulled up the 4WD selector towards 4LO/N/4HI area. Now, it seems sort of stuck.
I can movie it, but I just can't get it back all the way down to 2WD. I don't want to force anything and bent or snap it.

I just got this XJ and have never used 4WD. Does it not shift in and out of 4WD while parked?
I am afraid to drive it. But, will it be easier to push back into 2WD while I am driving it forwards?

Is there a special way to move this selector handle?
I noticed it has lateral play, and the shifter diagram has diagonal lines on it.

EDIT: I was able to move it back down. Not sure why it was stuck.

What should I look for when buying a used ring and pinion? How bad is surface rust? Is 20k a lot? I mean I know my stock gears last a long time but what about aftermarket 4.88s ?

I've got a 87 Comanche with a D44 rear.

I'd like to get a locker for it, keep myself from getting stuck in the mud as easily.

What brand should i get/ where should i purchase it?
I see a lot of guys on here getting spartan lockers, don't know how much they are on cost though. (I want an auto locker, not an air or electric one)

I'm gonna Aussie lock my front axle. I'm leaving my rear open until I can afford an electronic locker because I want it to stay predictable in the snow. If you want auto, though, I've read nothing but good reviews about Aussie. And they're reasonably priced.
