I brought the XJ in for a recall item, and told them to give me estimates for a bunch of stuff I am going to do myself (was curious of their cost), and for anything else that needs fixing. The two additional things they came back with were replace track bar and cracked exhaust manifold. Do you think the dealer was pulling my leg?

Ok I checked everything today and it all seemed tight and good. But I got death wobble 3 times today. Once going 45. What do I do?

Door hinges cracking at welds check, corners of roof/door opening cracked from flexing. If of a year with OBDI or OBDII check for codes or plug in analyzer to check for cleared and not fixed/stored engine codes.
Check under rear seat carpet/bolt heads for signs of rust, damp smell. Seat condition, tears, carpet wear/heavy use.
Tire condition, wear patterns, dry rot.
Window seals, especially windshield for signs of leaks like damp front carpets...
Check kbb.com for hints of price adjustment for condition.
Oil color on dipstick and level, trans fluid color/smell on trans dipstick on auto.
Sagging headliner could indicate A/C not working. On road test steer from side to side and listen for bad hub bearings. Brand new tires may mean a suspension/bearing problem hidden by just putting on tires instead of fixing problem.
And thats just a start...Good Luck and Happy Trails...
I copied this from another thread I answered, its a start...good hunting.
Also check Craigs List at least twice a day, they go fast if they are good.

It's only a 3" lift? And I only drove it home when I bought it before the lift so I'm not sure if it was doing it before
