Stubby, like it stops at the grille? There's one company I found through searching, but it's a very rare choice due to the potential damage to the front clip. I was gonna do one until I weighed the pros and cons.

yeah im kinda worried about it but i have the steel to build one like that for now. and more like the wrangler style stubby bumpers.

The other problem with XJ stubbies (as dukie564 showed me) is the unibody rails are so wide that a stubby wouldn't help like it does on a Wrangler. Our wheel wells aren't open at the front like theirs. If you wanna do it, it's easy. Build it like a normal bumper (tons of write-ups), but narrower. Same mounting points.

When you move the vacuum ball, how do you cut and reconnect the hose?
Also, my Jeep junges when i put it into drive... I know i need a passenger motor mount, probably a tranny mount but would u joints help contribute to that?

You can cut the hoses without any adverse effects.

I just pulled the hose back and reused it an tied it to one one the AC lines. I might have pics in my build theead
