No the engine didn't explode. I wanted to swap all of it bu I heard that I would have to use my renix intake and exhaust. I'll have to look at cruiser54's posts maybe it will be easier than I think.

As long as they're 2.5" wide and sprung under the axle, they should work.

What lift does the S10 springs give you? Why not buy a new leaf spring pack? Aren't they only $200 or $300 at least they are new and not saggy?

Lift depends how many springs you use and where. Why not spend the money? A bastard pack is effectively the same thing as a new pack. The difference is you're spending time instead of money.

It's relative. S10 and Dakota springs have a much greater arch than XJ springs. Even used and worn out, they still give us lift. Age of leaf springs doesn't have any effect on anything; arch is what matters. If the arch of your new packs and his bastard packs is the same, they're equivalent packs. Only difference is spring rate which depends on where you buy from or what you use.

You're right. It's a jeep not a truck. Now, if it was a truck i'd disagree. My Nissan p/u has some miles and the rear springs are soft/old. Can't hold the weight anymore like she used too. But, a Jeep isn't used for Home Depot runs or anything.

Year jeep?

Where are the two O2 sensors at on yours? Curious.

Usually the one that goes bad is closes to the manifold. I replaced both on mine.

Downstream is really just to monitor your CAT's performance. So replace the upstream.

I lied. I have three. Two before the precats and one after the precats on the down pipe. 2001 is the year. I'm assuming the two before the precats are the upstream and the one after is downstream?

So now that begs the question... do I replace all three? I have no codes but I have crap gas mileage and the Jeep smells like a boat.

Wouldn't hurt, but expensive. I thought '00/01 had four O2s.

Edit: Checked. 2000 and Early '01 had 3. Late '01 had four. Mine had four...
