Default Wheel Spacers

What are peoples thoughts on Wheel Spacers? I have a 01 cherokee and I planning on lifting it 2" since it is scrapping under my car since I put in new tires. I figured that the wheel spacers might make the car more sturdy since Jeeps are known for flipping, especially when they are lifted.

No do a prius swap. Your exhaust isnt the issue as long as they didnt install the muffler and cat backwards. That could cause excessive temps and could negatively effect back pressure. If it had bad mpg before the exhaust then thats not your issue.

Jeep not car. Spacers are fine. Just buy quality. And check on the a lot. As in once a month.

Joins CF, makes one post and calls a Jeep a car. Banned. hahah

Just make sure to check the torque on them every 500mi or so or after any wheeling trips. Could just about get offset rims for the same price if you find a good deal.

And what's this "Known for flipping" nonsense? I've seen Cherokees do **** that would make a European ecobox slide off the road. Hell I've taken my 3inch lift and 31/10.5's around corners that my friend's S10 would spin out on. Although I did have dual sway bars and know my rig really well, so don't go trying it!

Really the only reason to get spacers or new rims is to keep the tires off the trailing bars in sharp turns.
Oh and Welcome to CF! Don't take our critisisum personally :P

True. I used to follow my coworker's TDI GTI down the mountain road after work, even with a 3" lift. Super stiff JK shocks helped with that, but it all depends how your rig is built.

Hehe I've even got worn out shocks. In fact my front right shock is bent... I should work on replacing that.

Haha yeah.. I can't play like that with the MJ. Four blown shocks carrying a complete D30 with steering, my spare, and my tools in the bed.
