I took my 98' out the other morning since it was snowing and it was fairly icy. In 2wd and an aussie in the rear 8.25 it wasnt as bad as you would think. I went out to play so I purposely over powered through turns to get the rear end to kick out and with enough power the aussie helped quite a bit. Driving normal however I didnt slide once, and when in 4hi I couldnt even get it to slide. Im very happy with the aussie.

Understandable. I would definatly say while driving in snow/ice with a rear locker engaged you do have to be more careful. If you realize your more prone to fishtailing and adjust your driving I dont see any issues. I installed the locker because I thought I had excessive backlash in the open diff gears causing a clunk when id shift or give it gas. The locker didnt really help this, especially since this design of locker has extra backlash and they state in the instructions this locker could cause the same clunk symptoms I was having. I think most of the issue was a dry slip yoke. Either way, it does a lot better offroad and it was easy to install. The first time around it took 1.5 hours, the second time around (just for a visual inspection of the parts after 2k miles) it took 15 minutes to remove and another 15 minutes to reinstall.
