Reading something on google about doing the rear main seals. One thing i read said i needed to remove and replace the neoprene seals at the front and back of the engine. What seals is it talking about? I thought its just oil pan gasket and rear main......

That's what they are referring too. Some of the older seals were two piece cork gaskets.

Spend the $30 on the oil pan gasket from felpro. Also, spend the extra money to get the felpro rear main also. Lastly, my final advice that'll save you time. I put 19 hours into my rear main seal job. It shoulda took 4. The extra 15 hours was due to fiddling with the oil pan. They make a gasket holder that you spray on the pan and it creates a sticky as hell surface. I suggest the 'paint' on. Much easier.
Iv read people used fishing line and tied it through the holes and once you screw in a few bolts then cut and pull the string out and thw gasket will stay from moving.

Ok my plan is to do this by myself. Hope all goes well. I plan on only having about 1-2 days to do the work so i hope no issues.
