Get T-boned hard enough, Unibody's screwed anyways. Might as well go all out with the damage.

That's what they are referring too. Some of the older seals were two piece cork gaskets.

Yes, 4 dots 2 in the back 2 in the front, where the casting changes.

Spend the $30 on the oil pan gasket from felpro. Also, spend the extra money to get the felpro rear main also. Lastly, my final advice that'll save you time. I put 19 hours into my rear main seal job. It shoulda took 4. The extra 15 hours was due to fiddling with the oil pan. They make a gasket holder that you spray on the pan and it creates a sticky as hell surface. I suggest the 'paint' on. Much easier.

Any questions, feel free to pm me.

What was your issue with the pan? I did buy the perma dry rubber fel pro one about 15 min ago. Iv read it can be a pita when theo truck is stock. Mine has just a 2" lift in front so i hope that helps for clearance. Why did you need the spray on sticky? To hold the gasket from moving?

Iv read people used fishing line and tied it through the holes and once you screw in a few bolts then cut and pull the string out and thw gasket will stay from moving.

Get the oil pan holder aligned things, they are plastic bolts that you screw in an slide the pan on over. I'll find a link cause I'm pretty sure that was the worst description ever.
