This is immediately behind the electric fan, the large pulley in the top right is on the power steering pump.
Hi I replied to yours but can't see where my reply went to, so here we go again. My Cherokee is a 2002 4 cyl diesel sport 2.5. In South Africa "new" models are sometimes released up to two years after Europe. So might be confusing. My vin number is 1J4GMN8752W205910. My config is different to your pic. As you suggest I have a plate with 15mm bolt through the idler pulley and close by a 13mm nut (adjuster?). The plate has movement when loosened.
I slacked the two bolts off fitted the new belt then turned the adjuster fully in tightened it and the pulley bolt but it wouldn't take up enough slack. The belt is confirmed correct and it is fitted correctly. Any idea how I can get more tension, or the problem ?

Am new to the forum, so patience, please If I post incorrectly. Many thanks for your help.

He would have a serious 'accident' with the torch before it touched my axle.

Use a angle grinder to grind them off
And you can buy new spring perches to weld on for like $5

I've only ever seen one, and it wasn't for sale. I wanted to get one initially, but I don't want to lose cargo space. I also don't want it obstructing my view since I look over my shoulder instead of using the rearview mirror. I want to do a full exocage eventually, but that's a long way off.

Haven't seen those pics, no. The factory design takes several inches of useable space from the front of the bed, as well as space along the sides to the wheels.

I go on CC for info or when I'm bored at work. Some nice builds there, for sure. I have pretty heavy customization plans for this thing, but I need money and lots of help from the local fabricators in the club.
