You only need oil like that for offroading or towing, MAYBE an LSD but I'd think that a synthetic or oil with higher shear strength would be better. Daily driving you're better off with 75w90 or 80w90.

Alright, first off filled the ps pump with fluid, still clanks once I start turning right.

Also took the front ds off, its in bad shape but I'm still have some slight vibes, and I can feel some clanking or grinding under the floor

Is there a grease point on the steering column? I get a lot of squeaks coming from the wheel when it's first thing in the morning

I think there is an adjuster on the steering box to adjus out the slack.

Aww Aaron texted me hahaha

Remove electric fan if you have one. There is a nipple looking thing on the top of the box with a Allen screw in the middle of it. Mine took a 5/8ths socket to loosen the nut around the Allen screw and then I took a 5/8ths wrench Andrew's the nut while I used a 4 or 4.5 metric Allen key to turn the Allen screw clockwise 1/2 of a full turn to tighten the steering. Then take the socket and tighten it down all the way. My Allen screw turned with the nut which is why I had to use the wrench... Make any sense?

Here's what I told him if anyone cares lol

Unhappy Mystery wire????

I have a 1990 xj 4.0 in the engine compartment wiring harness that goes to the alternator there's the yellow and tan wire that go to the alt. and the blue, gray, and the black wire that go to the dist. and then there is one green/wht. wire that is isolated from the rest coming out of that connector that I can't figure out where it goes???? Please someone help me I'm about go crazy I cant find it in any diagram and I'm about to put in a new ecu.
