Got a question about O2 sensors. I have a 2000 XJ with Cali emissions and would really like to know part numbers for NTK sensors for the bank 1 and 2 upstream pair. Read though alot of threads and cant seem to find them..... Figured I'd ask here before makin phone calls.

Thanks in advance!
According to my parts fiche for the 2000 model there are actually 4 different part numbers. Check out http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/rafr...&parttype=5132

Pay attention to the 4 different NTKs. Upstream Front is the sensor upstream of the forward catalytic converter (Bank 1 IIRC), likewise Downstream Rear is downstream of the rear converter

so i'm having some issues with my heater on my 96 sport. when i turn the heater on, i can hear the fan on, but no matter where i have the blower set (defrost, vents, etc) the hot air will only ooze out of the defrost vents and also oozes out aroud the after market head unit. the dash and inside of the glovebox will also get toasty, but no matter where it's set i don't get full flow out of any vents. where should i start? i'm thinking the selector switch thing but i dunno for sure. anyone else had this issue?

You have to take the door panel off to get to the locking mechanism and the switches. It is not that tight just kind of awkward getting to the plastic retaining clips to release all of the metal connecting rods to get the mechanism out.

Roll the window up first before removing the panel. I had to unplug the lock mechanism and release 3 plastic clips then unbolt the lock mechanism to get it out.

If it is working with the power lock, you likely have a rod that came disconnected from the mechanism. You should be able to look with a light after the door panel is removed and see if the metal rod from the key lock is not connected to the lock mechanism.

Do you still have your vacuum ball or is it still attached? It's located in the front bumper, passenger side

This, also check for cracks in the vacuum line going to it, and all other vacuum lines.

Only if it had 3.73 or numerically higher gears stock. The carrier break is 3.73 and lower (numerically higher) requires a low ratio carrier.

quick thing on my heater question, i haven't checked for the vacuum ball, but if i had a vacuum issue wouldn't my idle be off? or is the ball independent of that for the heater?

i think i have a stray vacuum line in the bay near my heater hoses. i though it was something cruise control related but maybe not. need to dig deeper now that i know it's potentially a vacuum issue i guess..

As far as I know the ball only helps out with your heat. No ball, no directional heat for some reason. It could be the line just became detached from the ball if the heat stopped working out of no where.

well it's been like that since i bought the jeep. however, my 96 has a chrome bumper up front, which leads me to assume the bumper has been replaced (96s all came with black bumpers originally, right?) so the ball deal seems to be a likely culprit. too dark and cold to go look right now though haha. thanks for the help guys
