You can go to the junk yard and cut off a plug and splice it into your wiring harness, or cut off that plug and crimp on some female terminals.
You should trace all the wires and find out if there is a reason that plug melted. I run across this quite often on the Macks I work on.

Ya the buzzing noise from leaving your lights on and opening the door or opening the door when the vehicle is on. I don't remember the name of the dang thing. It connects to the fuse box under the dash and it's really obnoxious.

Ive heard of lights and key in ignition but never just open door ? does pass door do it also ?
Do you or does anyone know what part is called? Or if I can just replace that switch part or the entire wiring part and if it goes and splices into something else along the way? My heater and everything all works fine still but I could see this being the issue possibly. If this is the issue I want to get it fixed asap.

And the driver side is the opposite, the buzzer goes off and the dome light won't come on. I usually just turn the headlight switch to turn on the dome light so I can see.
Problem solved

Not sure about older models but my 1999 does if you have the lights on with the engine off OR the key in the ignition with the engine off, so either of those inputs could be the culprit (like if it thinks the lights are always on or key's always in)
