So would MJ shackles with rough country's 4.5 inch leads make the ride and angle much better? Seeing as their angle is complete ****..

RC don't ride easy. They also tend to make their leaf springs too short, which give you a bad angle. If you use an extended shackle along with those problems, you're only making the bad angle worse. Now if you invest in a set of Liquid Iron Industries shackle relocation brackets, all those problems go away, and you're left with a 5.5" lift. At that point, comfort level is determined by your shocks.

You're looking at different lift heights there. Determine tire size, then choose your lift height. Overall, I'd say a shakle lift would generally benefit from LII relocators. If you use Rough Country leaf springs, it's more likely to be an issue. Best bet is to lift your rig and see how it sits. If you have a bad shackle angle, get the LII relocators, and fix it. The 5/8" lift should be approximately offset by the change in the shackle angle.
