Default Rear end noise after lift... (i think)

took it to my local 4x4 place and let him hear the noise, he checked all the ujoints etc spun the wheels blah blah, and said he really didnt know for sure but the driveline or shaft had been replaced and it might be the wrong one and is a little too short, also one of my transmission mounts is loose, would that be making the noise??

The trans mount can cause a clunking, either way tighten it up. Did it just start after the lift? Wouldnt hurt to change the rear diff fluid and/or u-joints.

It's real simple. Don't use a cork gasket, don drop anything in the head.

You can't expect a shade tree mechanic to do a professional job.

Will a cork gasket last as long as a rubber one?

Don't waste your time with cork. Get the Felpro blue and do it once.
