They've said in interviews that over the seasons, the goal has shifted away from accuracy and conclusiveness, and toward entertainment and children. They say they feel like they have an opportunity to inspire kids, and they want to encourage to go try the things they're wondering about.
While it ruined the show for me, I respect the intent.

Edit: i realized that you woulod still have to stop for gas. but ok you wouldhave a much larger range between trips. and you would lose the need to have such a large fuel tank. hell if it goes off right you can end up using a gas tank 75% smaller with the same range as that you use today think about it. 10 bucks could fill up your tank and you can go all week with out that neeedle really moving. gas prices would naturally lower i guess. the value of the dollar would go up and other prices would fall to accomadate the deflation.

which you could then develop a system that efficently seperates the hydrogen from the water (h2o) to refill the tanks with. after all water=H20. which is two hydrogen for every oxygen molecule. boom. using that you would then NEVER have to stop for gas theoretically

So true. You need energy to create another form of energy. Such as heat to boil water to create steam which turns turbines which creates electricity

This is why, depending where you live, electric cars can be worse for the environment than gas. That electricity has to come from somewhere, and much of the country is still burning coal.

Hamster power!!
And on the note of electric cars, Prius's are such a fab. The way i drive, a Prius would get the same MPG as my 21 year old Jeep. why? Because my Jeep actually have some power so i wouldn't be flooring it constantly to stay with traffic.

Also some say front full size and mid size. What do they mean by that?

Suit yourself, if someone says to be "double-D" in real life I ain't thinkin' about cars...
So has anyone seen or even tried on their XJ a hydrogen fuel addon system? I've seen quite a few trucks with them and I'm told that MPG gains are approximately 20 - 30% which may not sound like a whole lot but would probably be enough to be worth the $1,000 or so for the kit
In a 100% hydrogen fuel internal combustion you see a huge hit in fuel economy. I remember just before it started to be a fad BMW was making dual-fuel cars. Hydrogen V12 made the same sort of power as a V8 running high octane lol.

Ehhh not so fast there. It's a nice thought (coal power seriously needs to go away), but large-scale power generation is generally waaaaay more efficient than a few million little power plants puttering around. Like 98% vs. 20%. Maybe less for the 4.0 lol. Another factor with regard to electric vehicles in a commuter environment is that they're ideally charged at night off-peak, taking advantage of otherwise wasted juice.
