On topic:Ok so heres one for ya guys that confuses me. When the XJs off one of the turn signals is on with the lights. Not blinking. just on. it only does that while the jeep isnt running. the second i turn over the engine the other daytime running light comes on. Any idea of why this is? I checked for groundouts. and places where bare wires crossed. nothing. Any ideas? This bugs me everytime my brother shows up and leaves his lights on.....

Sounds like your shift solenoids are bad. Mine did the same thing. If I manually moved the shifter it shifted through the gears just fine, but would not shift on it own when in OD. 3 solenoids later and she shifts like a dream. There is a great writeup on here explaining the symptoms and how to replace.

You have some aort of exhaust leak. Most likely a cracked exhaust manifold. Thats very common with worn motor mounts. Mine does the same thing but is noticably louder in the engine bay. Ill be ording a factory replacment off ebay in 2 weeks.

Not particularly. I think the kit for the 3 solenoids was around $130. But after you factor in a transmission pan gasket and tranny fluid and filter you are approaching $200. Plus your time.
They are simple to actually replace though, you will spend more time draining, removing/installing the pan then the actual solenoids. I replaced all three even though my torque converter one was the only bad one....I didn't want to go through dropping the pan again. But they do sell them individually if you decide to go that route. Good luck bud, pm me if you have any troubles.

Are you trying to remove the steering gear box?
3 bolts on the driver side of the unibody
Disconnect upper drag link
Disconnect the input steering shaft
Remove the power steering lines going to it.
Not hard at all.
If you are reffering to the transmission,
Properly support vehicle, support trans. Remove drive shaft/s unbolt the 4 bolts on flywheel through the inspection plate. Remove shift linkage and sensor plugs. Loosen all the bolts and work its way out.

yes its the transmission cause im having problems and some noises when i drive in 1 and 3 velocity and sometimes they jump off , but the way you talk it seems its so easy but i imagine different and its something so heavy and large that i presume its not so easy like that ...or maybe it is and i thought it was more complicate....sorry the language but im portuguese
