Yes you can do that but what I suggest is taking the flares off and then following one of the lines that are already there. It makes it alot easier. And out back your kind of limited since you have to cut and fold.. If you don't already know.

On the computer there should be a button by where it tells you how much space you've got left. Either that or there's a select all by the right side then at the bottom change action to delete

Alot of people are surprised at how fast Cherokees are. They definitely aren't slugs. More than half of the Hondas you see running around that are supposed "race cars" are running stock single cam non vtec motors with dohc vtec stickers. They are slugs. Now if it's a single cam turbo those things move. I had a 92 civic hatch with an ls-vtec with a gsr trans and that sucker moved. But I got bored with it fast and got back in my jeep.

I've done quite a bit searching on here and I've read a lot. Most threads show how to cut, bit not where.

Here is a picture of mine. I went with the first option you can see the lip it leaves and then I put black door trim on it to make it look cleaner

Here it is with the flare removed and no cutting done yet. You can see the two lines I was taking about. Now you can always trim even more than that, it's up to you. If I were to do more trimming I would just tape it off following the factory line.
