You don't have to open anything with a hack-n-tap.

I don't like H-n-T's but for the not as technically inclined they work fine.

Hnt scare me...... Lol but I can install a normal sye in 30 min....

Now would a front shaft work with a hack n tap on a np242?

Ya ill be doing a full sye. Hackntaps arent something id wanna do. I guess ill look into doing this and a jy driveshaft. I know the guys at 4wheelparts here in portland told me it'd be $1100 for the sye and shaft and installation. So after that i decided on a 3 inch lift

The install isn't difficult. You don't even have to remove the t-case. 1 hour tops, laying on your back on the ground with a wrench and snap ring pliers.

You can do it for free.

I feel like this should all be done before installing a lift. But don't you have to do it after, or atleast your supposed to do it after the lift?

Yes there is, I got mine from Tom Woods. Not cheap in price or quality.
