Go to Pirate, newb. They're more helpful.

Sounds like TPS, I think. Similar symptom as Coolant Temp Sensor. That's easy to test: unplug it. If it runs right unplugged, replace CTS. Not sure about TPS cause my Renix is different from your silly HO.

Maybe that's what I'm thinking. Seems like someone once told me I should be able to unplug the TPS and if it didn't do that anymore that was the problem... but that doesn't make much sense...

Pffft just chock the TPS open slightly past that spot. Problem solved and instant high-idle mod :P

Yeah I'd say a resistive coating has worn off the potentiometer in that spot. If you check it with a multimeter you'll probably find very low resistance there

You could disassemble it and pack it full of dielectric grease and see if that helps.

Hello everyone...does anyone knows how many bolts i have to remove to remove my gear box from my jeep cherokee? i mean the bolts from the part that is atached to the engine, cause its not easy to take clear look and im not sure im seeing all bolts ...thankyou

There's 6 big bolts and several smaller bolts.

there's 2 inverse (E12?) Torx bolts on the top of the bellhousing - they're a PITA to get to.

ok thankx, under the jeep i see about 4 big bolts but i was imagine alreaddy that there are more above and they are really hide but i wil trie, thats why i asked how many ....sorry this language but im portuguese...take all care
