Does anyone have experience with front wheel/hub bearings that arent Timken? I want to replace both of mine however Im curious if theres a way around $180 for a pair of Timkens.
I know this is a random ebay company but they have good feedback - http://www.ebay.com/itm/170969811571...84.m1423.l2648

I would just check all local parts stores. Napa had they're own brand that is built different than oem and had a lifetime warranty. I can get them cheaper

Question 2.5L TBI HELP!

I have an '86 Comanche 2.5L with Throttle Body Injection and a AX4, 4-speed manual. The engine is not the original Comanche engine, but one from a YJ Wrangler from what I would assume is similar in year and function. Anyway, I was driving it yesterday to work and it was doing fine until it warmed up. All of a sudden, it just acted like it wasn't getting gas when I pressed the accelerator. It idled back down and was rough, but as soon as I tried to give it gas, it would spit and sputter. It shut off and then I started it back up and the problem went away, for a little while anyway. I got about 2 miles further down the road and then the same thing. That time, I cut the engine off and restarted it about 10 seconds later. I made it all the way to work from then on without hesitation. On the way home from work, the same thing happened 3 more times.

Anyone have any ideas on what this could be caused by? It has new spark plugs, a clean air filter, fuel injector cleaner and Iso-heet (water remover) in the gas.

The description doesn't show where they are made. Probably China. I sent a message asking where the hubs are manufactured. I'll let you know when I hear back. I see Chinese bearings and races pit a lot quicker on the Macks I work on, vs. timken bearings and races.

X2 on replacing. Once the bearing goes out, the little ***** will fall out and go everywhere and you don't want that. It'll also start making noise. Mine did anyways. I'd replace it asap

Thanks! I checked napa, advance again, and oreilly's online and they all come out to apx. $160 for the pair. Advance auto has a 20% off coupon right now so I could purchase the pair for $115 and pick up at the store.

$115 doesn't sound like a bad deal.
